Incorrect GVWR on Certification Label
Description
Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2022 Utilimaster Aeromaster vehicles. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the certification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Hazard
Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Shyft will install new labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 14, 2026. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 26-03.
