CPSC, Oreck Manufacturing Co. Announce the Recall of Certain A/C Adaptors for its ZipVac Hand Held Rechargeable Vacuum
Description
The recalled A/C adaptor for ZipVac rechargeable vacuums is charger model U090010D that has two circular holes in its A/C's adaptor plug end.
Hazard
The top of the handlebar stem binder bolt may twist off, while being tightened.
Reported Incidents
Oreck has received 22 reports of the charger overheating. No injuries have been reported.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using these rechargeable vacuums immediately and contact Oreck for information on receiving a replacement unit.
